ICC Hawaii

To provide quality language instruction that 1) meets the needs of US government personnel and 2) gives members of the general public an easily accessible means of learning a language for travel and other general purposes. ICC recognizes the different needs of these two groups and tailors programs to meet those needs. We also provide training for ESL instructors using the best methods and practices of ESL instruction.

ICC Hawaii is located on the 10th floor of the Ala Moana Pacific Center. (Our facility is fully accessible to the people with disabilities.) ICC Hawaii is just in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and bus stops.

CELTA

ICC Hawaii is one of only 23 locations in the U.S. to be approved to run this highly regarded teaching qualification course. During this course, teacher trainees become familiar with the principles of successful teaching and develop the skills needed to teach adult ESL learners effectively.

CELTA is accepted by organizations which employ English language teachers throughout the world. It is also widely used as a benchmark of basic teaching skills and quality by:

o    English language schools

o    The voluntary sector

o    Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

o    Publishers

o    Other educational institutions

Besides being an English language school for foreigners, ICC is a hub to learn foreign languages for locals.
